Finished and framed…a mixed media piece

Under the Canopy

This artwork (20”x16”) is a dense, abstract representation of a natural woodland scene. It uses a complex layering of greens, browns, black tones and golden dots, to depict a forest environment with an intricate network of branches, new and decaying foliage, and tree trunks. The piece incorporates textured, organic shapes with hints of lighter, golden round hues scattered throughout, adding depth and contrast to the underbrush. And often human forms appear as we move our eyes across the canvas. The overall composition conveys a rich, chaotic energy of nature, blending form and texture to capture the essence of a forest landscape. This piece is a visual representation of a place where the layering dissolves into how the visible conceals the hidden. This piece unfolds as an abstract woodland, dense and impenetrable, yet alive with restless energy. The Scattered hints of golden dots punctuate the canvas, not as accents, but to depict whispers of light and energy moving through the canopy.
