This new piece is called Textured wholeness. I began by navigating the border. These Stark black lines fall like silent sentinels, anchoring the shifting shapes and gestural strokes that swirl across the surface. Vibrant red flickers emerge like hidden fires against a muted landscape of grays and earth tones.
This piece holds a place where tension and rhythm weave through darkness and light. It comes from heart sight clarity (Hinton’s notions of Tao) where one Brings wholeness to those around us and implies that being in the flow is not esoteric or elite, but something that infuses even everyday life with sacred fullness when we dwell in clarity and harmony.
This next piece is ‘inner ground of being. ‘

“Threads of flame and energy: the inner ground of being/xin (心) “
I journeyed into the earthy and elemental energy. Muted tones of clay and silver cradle a bold burst of red and copper. Patterns of hexagons, splatters, and lines with texture pulse beneath the surface, suggesting veins of hidden life and movement beyond sight. There is a balanced tension here that draws the eye deeper, inviting a silent dialogue with the natural forces that ripple through and beneath us. This work is a meditation on the unseen threads that link fire and earth, structure and spontaneity.
It comes from The heart site. It is a term Hinton often uses to translate the Chinese word xin (心), which means both heart and mind. It’s the center of awareness, the inner ground of being.
