Backyard views of the swamp inspire my paintings—ink and watercolor on rice paper. I also use digital filters to add new dimensions. This mixed media style keeps my mind engaged while Yo-Yo Ma’s cello playing Bach fills the room. I am also rather obsessed with Chet Baker’s trumpet these days. Music, whether I’m playing my 12 string guitar or inhabiting other’s lyrical works, transports me to a happy place, where life feels full.
